Everyone’s lips are unique — in shape, volume, and how they change over time. While some people naturally have fuller lips, others may notice a thinner appearance or asymmetry even from a young age. As part of the natural ageing process, changes in collagen production, fat distribution, and hydration levels can gradually lead to reduced lip volume, a less defined lip border, and fine lines around the mouth.
These changes are a normal part of ageing and can be influenced by genetics, sun exposure, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Recognising that lip characteristics vary from person to person allows for a more tailored and respectful approach to treatment, where the goal is to support your natural features—not to change them.
Different types of products will create different types of textures whilst settling into the body. Lip Treatments are not a one time type of procedure. Each person is different and each person’s body is different, this means that it might take your body 6 months to need another treatment where your friend might need to come back in 3 months.
If you are considering lip treatment for the first time, there is some slight swelling, but everyone is different. If you are a person who does find themselves swelling, just remember it will go down or in some cases some clients get used to a swollen look and want more product immediately after. Either way, you will find everything settles around 2 weeks after.
